About the library

A wider world
of coffee.

Independent coffee reviews and discovery,
beginning with curiosity.

The name is robusta.
The curiosity goes further.

This library began with an interest in Fine Robusta and the coffees that sit outside familiar expectations. That curiosity extends to arabica and liberica, to different origins and processing methods, and to the people describing what they taste.

Our aim is a considered place to discover coffee: a clear sensory profile, an assessment with context, and a review you can return to.

How the editorial team works.

robusta.co publishes researched coffee profiles based on attributed roaster and reviewer information. Agents help collect, normalize, and draft that information; the source links and revision dates on each profile make the evidence visible.

A researched review is not a firsthand tasting. Published cupping totals retain their original assessor and method. Our editorial-interest rating describes the documented profile, rather than cup quality. Taste-map positions and suggested character bands are discovery aids, with estimates identified in context.

Start with the documented tasting notes, compare similar coffees, and check the roaster’s current listing before buying. Offerings, prices, and harvests change; a historical assessment does not automatically describe a new lot.
